Welp, Here we go Again..

And the semester starts up again. Here is the very very first thing I've done, for Graphic Design II. Using Letraset, and let me tell you-its probably one of the funnest things I've worked with. I know they're hard to come across though, so if you ever hear of one floating around, PLEASE let me know. Awesome.

I got my drawing portfolio back from the semester. Here are a few things I found:

Ice Cream

On the Contrary...

My Painting final. A handmade book complete with sewed pages around the edges. It revolves around two opposite perceptions on life. I centered it around my little brother, and how he was so intrigued by the simplicity in life, how he was so fascinated by the little things. In doing so tried to illustrate an innocent playfulness that he looked at the world with. On the contrary, I tried to convey the opposite that we surround ourselves with: a more literal, complicated, serious outlook on life. Perhaps there is something we can learn by looking at the world through a four-year-olds eyes.

Hello, My Name is Paper Doll

For my Media II class last semester. The assignment was to make an electronic book, but also to present it in some form. I chose to do an accordian book, when the ribbon is untied, the box pops open to reveal the accordian pages.

For Graphic Design class. The assignment was to create compositions exploring a few design principles:
1. Balance 2. Texture or Pattern 3. Rhythm 4. Tension

We had to pick a conceptual word to create a visual theme/concept in all the compositions-I chose "fantastical", in order to interrelate form, concept, and composition.
